I really like your use of neon-y blues and yellows. And orange. It's neat looking with the dull metal. Woah, and it sort of looks camouflaged! And the clouds are sort of brownish... I like that because it sort of gives the picture some sort of story in my head besides just a really awesome ship design.
You're really good at painting metal.
Cintiq is VERY expensive, probably also VERY kickass, but I'd say only for professional use.
For absolute beginners, Bamboo is probably also good.
(I'm aiming for that when I get more experience, but I really think it's too intimidating now.)
I am one of those absolute beginners, I really don't know a thing about tablets. What I do know is that when you can see what you're drawing on the tablet is something that appeals to me... :/ I'm such a noob, it's not even funny.
